Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)

There are specific requirements for the installation and maintenance of Liquid Petroleum Gas (known as LPG) tanks and systems. While a mechanical permit is required for LPG piping systems, only a licensed LPG installer can install these systems. Any individual or business doing propane work must first obtain a license from the Office of State Fire Marshal. In addition, propane companies are required to notify the Office of State Fire Marshal of all liquefied petroleum gas tank installations.
